Deirdre Quinn is an actress whose breakthrough role in the movies was more than a consolation prize.
She played Miss Texas (although she's originally from the Philadelphia area) in the 2000 comedy Miss Congeniality, which starred Sandra Bullock as an undercover FBI agent posing as a beauty contest entrant to thwart a terrorist plot at the pageant.
Deirdre Quinn also played Tina, a friend of Ali Larter's character Niki Sanders, on the sci-fi television series "Heroes," a series about people with superhuman powers.
Having married in 2004, Ms. Quinn has not been active as an actress since 2008. But here's hoping we see her again soon. :-)
