Iman eventually tried her hand at acting, which posed problems having nothing to do with her acting ability.  Joe Queenan explained it this way: She's so beautiful that she makes everyone else in a movie look ugly.  Nevertheless, she turned in respectable performances in movies like Out of Africa and No Way Out in the eighties.
