Ellie Goulding is part of the new generation of British songstresses.
The singer-songwriter, who turns thirty in December, has had hits both in Britain in America with singles such as "Lights" and " Love Me Like You Do." She credits Joni Mitchell and Björk as musical influences.
While popular with record buyers, Ms. Goulding also has gotten good reviews from the press. One critic praised her for her "gorgeous high heart-tugging vocals."
Her most recent album as of this writing, Delirium, was released in November 2015.
