Laura Urgelles, a native of Cuba, has been with The Washington Ballet (TWB) in our nation's capital (take that, Castro!) since 2000. She previously performed with several American companies, including the Miami Hispanic Ballet, and won the Gold Medal and the Grand Prix of the Seventh International Ballet Competition of Trujillo in Peru.
