Several television actresses have played two roles in a series, sometimes in the same episode. But how many of them have played five different roles in a series? Ami Brabson did just that in "Law & Order."
In addition to her guest appearances on the venerable drama, Ms. Brabson played Mary Pembleton, the wife of detective Frank Pembleton, in nineteen episodes of "Homicide: Life On the Street." That role didn't require much acting; Detective Pemberton was played by Andre Braugher, Ms. Brabson's real-life husband.
She's been on several other TV shows, and she's also done a lot of theater, including readings at Luna Stage in West Orange, New Jersey, one of the Garden State's best-known small theaters. She and her husband live in nearby South Orange.
