Abby Phillip is CNN's new star Washington correspondent.
She joined the cable news channel to cover the White House in 2017. As she had never reported on the executive branch of the federal government before, Abby Phillip is probably the only White House correspondent who accepts Donald Trump as "normal." :-D
Her previous experience includes a stint as a digital reporter for ABC News and a news-story producer for "This Week" and "Nightline." She worked at the Washington Post from 2014 to 2017.
What drives Ms. Phillip as a journalist? I'll let her explain it herself: "The stories that are the most interesting are the ones that your friends are talking about, the things where people are saying, 'what’s going on?'. . . and you can dig a little deeper."
She'll need a steam shovel to dig deeper into this White House. :-D
