One of the most visible fashion models of the seventies and eighties, Alva Chinn - who is a friend of mine and whom I'm featuring here for the first time since November 2015 - appeared in numerous newspaper ads, fashion magazines, and catalogs. Her high-class looks and her confident poise meant that her portfolio wouldn't be complete without an editorial assignment in the New York Times Sunday Magazine's fashion supplement.
Specifically, the autumn one. :-)
This picture is from the New York Times Sunday Magazine's August 24, 1980 "Fashions Of the Times." The clothes may have been meant for cooler weather, but, in this late-summer issue, Alva Chinn couldn't help but look hot.
