The Beauty of Retrospect, April Model Edition: Yasmine Guenancia

And now, for the first time on this blog since June 2015, more pictures of Yasmine Guenancia, from the seventies, when her surname was Sokal and she was the top auburn-haired model of the time.

The above photo from a fashion ad (and do you really think I care which fashion ad it was?) shows her confident poise.  In the color photo below, taken by Deborah Turbeville in 1975, she shows a sweeter, more ethereal side.

I know, I know - more etheral than ethereal, as she's a knockout. :-)

Hi Steve.
I love seeing pictures of Yasmine in vintage 70s American Vogues. She's always struck me as rather exotic. Her name (Yasmine Sokal) seems Middle Eastern. She's robably American but do you know of her origins? She is fascinating and her beauty is exquisite.

Thanks, Jean: Yasmine is originally from Germany, I believe, but she's lived in America since the mid-seventies or so. She's a real estate agent in New York now; she deals with expensive properties in Manhattan.
