The Beauty of Retrospect, Olympics Edition: Jessica Ennis

So what has been British track and field star Jessica Ennis been up to since August 2012, when I last featured her here, at about the same time she won the heptathlon at the 2012 London Olympics?

Well, for starters, she's now Jessica Ennis-Hill, having married her husband Andy Hill in 2013. After taking time to have a child, she made a comeback in the Great City Games in Manchester in May 2015, finishing third in the 100-meter hurdles. That same year, she finished fourth in her first heptathlon since the London Olympics at a meet in Austria, assuring herself a place on the British 2016 Olympic team. And at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, she won the heptathlon outright.

She also found the time to receive the order of Commander of the British Empire from Queen Elizabeth II.

Bow, peasants! :-D

At this writing, the track and field events at the 2016 Olympics haven't taken place yet - the 2016 Games are opening today, in fact - but Jessica Ennis-Hill hopes to defend her heptathlon title in what she says will be her last Olympiad.
