Anjelica Huston
Pictured above is actress Anjelica Huston, daughter of director/actor John Huston and granddaughter of actor Walter Huston. She started out as a model but ultimately ended up in the family business. And many movie and television fans are glad she did, in no small part due to her performances in 1985's Prizzi's Honor (her father 's penultimate movie) and Woody Allen's 1989 movie Crimes And Misdemeanors, along with her appearance in the television miniseries adaptation of Larry McMurtry's novel "Lonesome Dove."

Jennifer Granholm: America's Hottest Governor!
Pictured above is Jennifer Granholm, governor of the great state of Michigan (well, great when you factor out Detroit) and a rising star in the Democratic party. No one is talking about her as a possible presidential candidate, though. They can't. Governor Granholm was born in Canada and emigrated to America when she was four years old. She is simply constitutionally ineligible for the presidency of the United States. :-O
Karen Graham: Black and White, and In Color
Here are two more pictures of Karen Graham, who was my first celebrity crush back when I was fifteen or so. Estée Lauder herself would have been amused by that statement, since the models in the ads she commissioned were meant to sell cosmetics to upper-middle-class women, not excite teenage boys. The black-and-white picture is from 1977; the color photo is from 1984.
Victor Skrebneski never photographed Ms. Graham from a bad angle, because she doesn't have one. Everything about her - her eyes, her smile, her hair, as well as her uniquely shaped nose - is perfect feminine beauty personified. I wrote her a fan letter once, and she responded with a handwritten letter and an autographed picture, proving that her beauty isn't just on the outside.

Karen Graham In Black And White
Here are two more pictures of the lovely Karen Graham, both in black and white, from the Estée Lauder seventies ad campaign.
Ms. Graham was never identified by name in the ads, in order to focus more attention on the product than on the model. Most people had no idea who she was; some people assumed she was actually Estée Lauder herself. Which seems appropriate, as Victor Skrebneski's photographs were meant to bring Mrs. Lauder's own vision of class and style to life.

Karen Graham, Seventies Supermodel
Karen Graham was the official spokesmodel for the Estée Lauder cosmetics company from 1973 to 1985. She was pretty much the company's face, and a beautiful face indeed.
Ms. Graham projected a classy image, but the photo below is uncharacteristically provocative. It's an ad featuring her in a futuristic setting with a space-age tiara and a strapless space-age dress!
Far less intense is this picture of Ms. Graham with a softer hairstyle and a gentler expression. Both of these photos were taken by Chicago photographer Victor Skrebneski, who also discovered Cindy Crawford.
More pictures of Karen Graham are to come. :-)
